Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have over your personal information.

01

Who we are and scope

This Privacy Policy is issued by MovesEdu Immigration Pvt. Ltd. ("MovesEdu", "we", "us"), a private limited company registered in India with its registered office at [Registered office address — to be confirmed], Chandigarh, India. Contact: [privacy@movesco.in — to be confirmed].

It applies to personal information we collect through the movesco.in website, our offices, phone, email, WhatsApp and messaging channels, forms, and in the course of providing Australia and Canada permanent-residency consultation, assessment, documentation and application-support services. It applies to website visitors, enquirers, clients and job applicants.

02

Information we collect

Depending on the service you use, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Identity and contact information — name, date of birth, address, phone, email, photographs.
  • Passport and travel-document information — passport details, visas, travel history.
  • Education and employment records — degrees, transcripts, reference letters, employment history, payslips.
  • Financial and payment information — invoices, payment records, and proof-of-funds documents where a program requires them. Card details are processed by payment providers, not stored by us.
  • Immigration history — previous applications, refusals, cancellations and related correspondence.
  • Family and dependent information — details of spouse, children or other dependents included in an application.
  • Health or other sensitive information — only where an immigration program requires it (for example medical examinations or police clearances) and only with your consent.
  • Website and device data — IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, and cookie/analytics data.
03

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you (forms, consultations, documents you provide), automatically when you use our website (cookies and analytics), and from third parties acting for you or for your application — such as assessing authorities, language-testing bodies, educational institutions or your authorised representative.

Do not submit another person’s personal information (including a spouse’s or dependent’s) unless you are authorised to do so. By submitting it, you confirm you have that person’s consent or lawful authority.

04

Why we process your information

We use personal information to: assess your eligibility for Australian and Canadian PR programs; prepare and manage skills assessments and applications; communicate with you about your case; issue invoices and maintain accounts; comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations; improve our website and services; and, with your consent, send you relevant updates and marketing.

Our legal grounds are your consent, performance of our service agreement with you, and compliance with legal obligations. For sensitive information (such as health records), we rely on your explicit consent given for the specific immigration purpose.

05

Who we share it with

We share information only as needed to deliver your engagement or as required by law, with:

  • Government and immigration authorities — the Department of Home Affairs (Australia), IRCC (Canada) and related agencies.
  • Embassies, consulates and visa application centres.
  • Skills-assessment and credential-evaluation bodies (e.g. VETASSESS, ACS, Engineers Australia, TRA, WES).
  • Educational institutions verifying your qualifications.
  • Registered migration agents (MARA) or licensed consultants (RCIC) associated with your case, and other authorised representatives.
  • Service providers — payment processors, cloud-hosting providers, courier services and professional advisers — under confidentiality obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

06

International transfers

Because your application is decided abroad, your information is necessarily transferred to authorities, assessing bodies and service providers in Australia, Canada and other jurisdictions, which may have different data-protection standards than India. We transfer only what the receiving body requires and use reputable providers with appropriate safeguards.

07

Storage and security

We use access controls, password protection, and restricted staff access on a need-to-know basis to protect your information, and store case files in secured systems. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use the document-submission channels we specify rather than open channels where possible.

08

Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to deliver your engagement, meet legal, tax and accounting obligations, and defend legal claims — after which it is deleted or anonymised. Typical retention periods: active case files for the engagement plus [X years — to be confirmed]; accounting records as required by Indian law; enquiry data [X months — to be confirmed] if no engagement follows.

09

Cookies and analytics

movesco.in uses cookies and third-party analytics (such as [analytics provider — to be confirmed]) to understand how the site is used and improve it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; parts of the site may not function fully without them. Where a consent banner is provided, analytics cookies are set only after you accept.

10

Marketing and opt-out

We send program updates, draw news and service information only if you opt in, and every message includes an unsubscribe option. Opting out of marketing does not affect service communications about your active case. We never use pre-ticked consent boxes.

11

Your rights

You may: request access to the personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information; withdraw consent (which may limit our ability to continue your engagement); request deletion of information we are not legally required to retain; and raise a grievance with our Grievance Officer (contact below). We respond within the timelines required by applicable Indian law.

12

Children and dependents

Our services are for adults. We collect a minor’s information only from a parent or legal guardian, only as required for a family application, and never knowingly collect information directly from children through the website.

14

Data-breach response

If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will assess and contain it, notify affected individuals and authorities where required by applicable law, and take corrective measures to prevent recurrence.

15

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The "Last updated" date above reflects the current version; material changes will be highlighted on this page. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
