Refund and Cancellation Policy

Clear terms on cancellations, refundable professional fees, and the government and third-party charges that cannot be recovered.

01

Scope and services covered

This policy applies to professional services purchased from MovesEdu Immigration Pvt. Ltd. — consultation, eligibility assessment, pathway strategy, documentation guidance, skills-assessment support and application-support services for Australia and Canada permanent residency. Your signed service agreement and invoice define the exact scope, fees and milestones of your engagement and prevail over this general policy where they differ, subject to applicable law.

02

Types of fees — what is ours and what is not

A migration engagement involves several distinct kinds of payment. Only the first is charged by and refundable (where applicable) by MovesEdu:

  • MovesEdu professional fees — our consultation and case-work fees, invoiced by us.
  • Government application fees — charged by the Department of Home Affairs, IRCC, and state/provincial programs; paid to the government and governed by their rules.
  • Embassy / visa-centre fees — biometrics, VAC service charges.
  • Assessing-authority and third-party fees — skills-assessment bodies (VETASSESS, ACS, etc.), language tests, credential evaluations.
  • Incidental costs — translation, notarisation, medical examinations, police clearances, courier charges.

Government, assessing-authority and third-party fees are collected by those bodies under their own refund rules. MovesEdu cannot refund fees it never received; where we facilitated a payment, we will assist you in pursuing that body’s refund process.

03

Stage-based delivery and payment milestones

Professional fees are staged against milestones defined in your service agreement — typically: (a) engagement and eligibility assessment, (b) skills-assessment / documentation stage, (c) EOI or Express Entry profile stage, (d) application lodgement and post-lodgement support. Each instalment corresponds to work in that stage; once a stage’s work has been substantially performed, the fee for that stage is considered earned.

04

When a refund may be considered

  • Cancellation before any substantive work has started on a paid stage.
  • Services paid for but not delivered, where the non-delivery is attributable to MovesEdu.
  • Duplicate or incorrect payments (refunded in full after verification, normally within [X business days — to be confirmed]).
  • Closure of an immigration program or rule change that makes your engaged pathway impossible before the relevant stage work has begun — treated per your service agreement, with unworked stage fees eligible for refund.
  • Any other circumstance where retaining payment for unprovided services would violate applicable law or your signed agreement.
05

When fees become non-refundable

  • Work on a stage has been substantially performed (assessment completed, documents reviewed, application prepared or lodged), regardless of the eventual outcome.
  • The engagement is cancelled or fails because information you provided was false, misleading, incomplete or materially delayed.
  • You stop responding or withdraw after work has begun — completed-work value is deducted per the agreement before any balance is returned.
  • A visa, invitation, nomination or assessment is refused or delayed by an authority. Outcomes are never guaranteed, and refusal or delay does not by itself create a right to a refund of fees for work performed.

Important: MovesEdu does not guarantee visa approval, invitations, nominations, employment, sponsorship or admission. Paying professional fees purchases professional work, not an outcome.

06

Cancelling your engagement

You may cancel at any time by written notice to [refunds@movesco.in — to be confirmed]. On cancellation we will: stop further work, provide a statement of work completed to date, and calculate any refundable balance as (fees paid) minus (value of completed and in-progress work, plus any legally permitted administrative deduction disclosed in your signed agreement, plus non-recoverable taxes already remitted). Unused, un-started stage fees are returned.

07

How to request a refund

  • Send a written request to [refunds@movesco.in — to be confirmed] from your registered email, stating your name, client/file number, invoice number and the reason for the request.
  • Attach payment proof and any relevant correspondence.
  • We acknowledge requests within [X business days — to be confirmed] and issue a written decision within [X business days — to be confirmed], based on the signed service agreement, actual work completed, payment records and applicable consumer law.
  • Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method (or bank transfer where that is not possible) within [X business days — to be confirmed] of approval.
08

Complaints and escalation

If you disagree with a refund decision, you may escalate in writing to firm leadership, who will review the file independently and respond within [X business days — to be confirmed]. Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or other applicable Indian law.

09

Relationship to your agreement and invoice

This page describes our general approach. The binding terms for your engagement are your signed service agreement and the invoices issued under it, read together with this policy and applicable law. Where this page and your signed agreement differ, the agreement prevails to the extent permitted by law.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions.

Yes. If you cancel before substantive work begins on a paid stage, that stage’s fee is refundable, less only legally permitted disclosed deductions. Cancel in writing as early as possible.

A refusal does not automatically create a refund right, because fees pay for professional work performed, not for an outcome. We will review the file, advise on review or reapplication options, and refund any stage fees for work not performed.

No — government fees go to the Department of Home Affairs or IRCC and follow their refund rules. We will help you apply for any refund those bodies allow.

Fees paid to VETASSESS, ACS, language-test providers and similar bodies are governed by their own policies. Where we facilitated the payment we’ll assist with their process, but the decision is theirs.

Verified duplicate or incorrect payments are refunded in full to the original payment method, normally within [X business days — to be confirmed] of verification.

We acknowledge within [X business days] and decide within [X business days] (placeholders pending confirmation). Approved amounts are paid within [X business days] of approval.

Your name and file number, the invoice number, payment proof, and a short written explanation of the grounds. Requests must come from your registered email.

If a rule change or program closure makes your pathway impossible before stage work begins, unworked stage fees are eligible for refund and we will advise whether an alternative pathway exists for your profile.
